
South East 24H Film Challenge
The South East 24H Film Challenge was a collaboration between Waterford Film Centre and South East Women in Film and took place on the weekend of July 19th and 20th 2025.
The challenge consisted of 2 competitions - one for adults and one for teenagers from Waterford Youth Arts.
Adult members of Waterford Film Centre who participated in the challenge had 24 hours (12:00pm to 12:00pm) to film and edit a 5 minute short film with the following guidelines:

Include a given prop
-
Include a given line of dialogue
-
Include a Waterford landmark
The teenagers had 24 hours to make a 90 second short film using the same guidelines.
The films were screened at St. Patrick's Gateway Centre at 6:00pm Sunday July 20. Judges for the challenge were Jamie Hooper from Screen Cork and
Suzanne McKenzie Young from Screen Wexford.
